This project reflects the tranquility and calmness of the owners combined with elements of their outdoors adventure self. It is located in the peaceful village of Psimolofou, Nicosia where the traditional Cyprus architecture is retained and highlighted with the use of stone and timber.
Surfing boards welcome visitors at the entrance, acting as exhibition pieces. Circulation within the residence has been carefully orchestrated to unite all spaces with a feature staircase. All spaces point at the outdoor seating area and garden. The purity of the stone integrates within the village traditional fabric.
The tree on the upper level of the residence encapsulates the calmness of the residence design, framed by a minimalist frame and earthy materiality. It also has a double function by creating a small "hidden" veranda for the laundry room. All rooms on the upper floor are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, while the master bedroom features a walk-in wardrobe.
